Transition and Transfer Program in Houston, TX

River Oaks Academy provides transition and transfer programs in Houston, Texas, for students coming to the city during the school year for various family and personal reasons. While some families may have been relocated by employers, others may come from treatment centers, group homes, wilderness camps, or boarding schools. These students can enroll and take advantage of the transition program anytime during the school year.

As an accredited school and by following the State of Texas requirements, River Oaks Academy course credits may be transferred to any school so that the student does not fall further behind in their studies.

Our Purpose

The purpose of our transition program is to create a normalized school environment that students can come home to. We provide therapy or counseling support for a period of time as students continue to improve, as well as structured programming or behavioral interventions to continue or maintain the gains made in their previous placement.

Each of our courses is taught by certified or highly qualified teachers, who can give students the individual attention needed. As a state-approved and accredited school, credits can be transferred to the school of your choice. It is always best to check before you start the course. Our registrar is available to assist you.
